Cruz Beckham has shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to his older brother Brooklyn, despite the ongoing family rift. Posting on Instagram, Cruz uploaded a childhood photo of Brooklyn holding him as a baby, with a celebration emoji and the caption: 'I love you.'
The message comes after Brooklyn, who turned 27 on 4 March, publicly stated in January that he has no desire to reconcile with his family. In a six-page Instagram story, he accused his parents, David and Victoria, of being 'controlling' and trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola Peltz. He also claimed his brothers were sent to 'attack' him on social media.
Brooklyn's birthday went unmarked by Cruz on his own 21st birthday on 20 February, though the rest of the family celebrated together. David and Victoria both posted birthday messages for Brooklyn despite his request for them to stop mentioning him online. David shared a childhood photo with the caption: '27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x.' Victoria wrote: 'Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.'
Romeo Beckham also posted a tribute, sharing a picture of himself and Brooklyn as children in football kits, without any words. The posts follow reports that Brooklyn sent his parents a legal 'desist' letter last year, demanding all communication go through lawyers, and later blocked them on social media.
