Cruz Beckham has shared a video of himself preparing cheese and potato soup, a move many fans are interpreting as a dig at his estranged brother Brooklyn. The 21-year-old musician captioned his TikTok post: “wanna see the best cooking video ever ? don’t watch this then,” and assured viewers that despite its appearance, the soup is “actually decent”.
Brooklyn, 27, regularly posts cooking videos and previously ran a Facebook series called Cookin’ with Brooklyn. Fans quickly labelled Cruz’s effort “passive aggressive”, with one commenting: “Cruz has just earned another fan, this is the level of pettiness we should all aspire to .. LMAO.” Another wrote: “Now this is the level of pettiness I can really appreciate.”
Cruz reposted the video on Instagram, ending it with a nonchalant thumbs up and tagging celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay with the message “@gordongram watch out!” The gesture comes amid a long-running rift between Brooklyn and his family, with Brooklyn reportedly only communicating through lawyers and telling his family he wishes to do so for over a year.
Despite the apparent trolling, Cruz recently said he hopes to repair their troubled relationship. When asked if he had a message for Brooklyn, he replied simply: “Happy Birthday.” The birthday wishes from parents David and Victoria Beckham on social media reportedly upset Brooklyn, with an insider claiming he views such posts as “performative public actions” he has been trying to stop.
