Cruz Beckham and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel have welcomed a puppy, a cream-coloured Golden Retriever named Sandy Jean Beckham. The 21-year-old musician and the 30-year-old Brazilian model shared photos on Instagram of themselves smiling while cuddling Sandy on a bed, tagging the puppy's new Instagram page in the post.

Cruz's mother, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, commented on the post, writing: “Sooooo sweet!!! We love you Sandy!!!” Jackie added: “ANGEL BABY.” Jackie also shared glimpses of Sandy's first days at home on her Instagram Stories, including a snap of the pooch lying across Cruz's legs captioned: “Big day of snoozes,” and another of the pup flopped over Jackie's hand with the caption: “Loves a nap.”
David Beckham, Cruz's father and former football star, appeared to give his approval. On Sandy's Instagram page, he was pictured carrying a sleepy Sandy in his arms in a post that cheekily referenced his football skills. “Grandad is gonna teach me how to bend it like sandy ;),” it read. The new page has amassed more than 2,000 followers in its first day.
Relationship timeline
Cruz and Jackie have been dating since 2024, first spotted together at Glastonbury that summer before confirming their relationship on social media later that year. Since then, the American songwriter has become a familiar presence at Beckham family events, from holidays to David's 50th birthday celebrations, while also supporting Cruz on tour with his band, Cruz Beckham and The Breakers.
In May, Jackie revealed they met during a songwriting class. “We got put in a writing session and were both just like so obsessed with what we were doing with music and like, became really good friends and then here we are,” she said in an Instagram Q&A. Jackie also claimed Cruz is “funnier” than she is and said she has bonded with his younger sister Harper, 15, over watching The O.C. together.

The couple's near 10-year age gap has drawn attention online, though Jackie has previously addressed criticism head-on. After one Instagram user questioned why “a 29-year-old” was dating a then 20-year-old, she responded: “Because he’s kind, funny, smart, caring, driven, mature, talented, loyal, and also quite handsome.”
In August, Cruz praised Jackie's support for his music career and said he never would have gone on tour without her encouragement. He released his debut EP Wear & Tear, recorded with his band Cruz Beckham And The Breakers, which features six songs and an accompanying music video for each one over the summer. “She’s honestly had such an impact on my career already, and it’s only the beginning,” he told Official Charts. “I feel like I wouldn’t be on tour without her. I wouldn’t have met the band without her and she inspires me every day to be the best version of myself.”
