Corrie Star Colson Smith Reveals Stunning Body Transformation and Life Off-Screen

Colson Smith, best known for playing Craig Tinker on Coronation Street, has undergone an incredible body transformation, losing 10 stone over 18 months. The 23-year-old actor, who has been on the cobbles since 2011, documented his journey in the film 'Bored Of Being The Fat Kid'. His real-life weight loss was even written into the soap's storyline when his character joined the police force.

Off-screen, Smith has lived with fellow Corrie stars. After co-star Jack P Shepherd split from his fiancée in 2018, the pair moved into a Manchester flat together in Salford Quays, near the ITV studios. They were joined by actor Freddie Bolt and became known for throwing wild parties. Shepherd later admitted living with Smith was a 'challenge', calling him his 'little project' and taking on the nickname 'Dad'.

In June 2019, Shepherd moved out to live with his new girlfriend, leaving Smith without a place. However, another Corrie co-star, Ben Price (who plays Nick Tilsley), stepped in as a housemate. Smith described Price as a 'second father' and praised his support during his weight loss journey. The trio now host a podcast together, Sofa Cinema Club.

Smith has spoken openly about his struggles with food, describing his relationship as 'negative' and 'bingey', and admitting it was 'probably an eating disorder' and a form of self-harm. He decided to make major changes to feel good about himself, saying he had never liked the way he looked. His transformation has been so successful that he competed in ITV's The Games.
