Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd has married his fiancée Hanni Treweek in a romantic ceremony at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday. The 37-year-old, who plays David Platt on the ITV soap, proposed to Hanni, 36, during a safari trip in Tanzania just over a year ago. The couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife before heading to their reception.
Jack arrived at the venue in a classic red Mustang convertible with his son Reuben, whom he shares with ex-partner Lauren Shippey. He wore a cream suit, while guests included fellow Corrie stars Lucy Fallon, Tina O'Brien, Julia Golding, and Helen Worth, who plays Jack's on-screen mother. Jack's close friends Colson Smith and Ben Price had special roles on the day.
At the afterparty, held at the venue Hallé St Peter's, co-stars Sally Carman and Joe Duttine, who play Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe on the soap, shared a passionate kiss as they left the reception in the early hours of Sunday morning. Sally, having swapped her heels for flip-flops, giggled as she held onto her husband Jack while they descended the staircase.
The newlyweds made a discreet exit through the back door, quietly returning to their hotel for some private time. Meanwhile, Michelle Hardwick was seen in high spirits as she left with her wife, Kate Brooks, pulling her close in a warm embrace.
