Coronation Street star Grace Ashcroft-Gardner has received an outpouring of support from her castmates as she celebrated her first major milestone on the iconic cobbles. The young actress, who was recast in the role of Lily Platt last year, marked the anniversary of her debut on the ITV soap on Tuesday, July 14.

Grace joined the soap in 2025, taking over the role of Lily Platt, the daughter of David Platt and his late wife, Kylie. The character has been portrayed by several actors since her birth in 2013, including two sets of twins. Lily was first played by twins Ava and Lilly Bushell from August 2013 to August 2014, followed by Betsie and Emmie Taylor from September 2014 to May 2016. Brooke Malonie then took over the role from 2016 until Grace's recast.
Celebrating One Year on the Cobbles
To mark the occasion, Grace shared a series of photos from the show's Salford-based set on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote: 'One year of being Lily Platt and I couldn't be more grateful!! I've learned so much, grown so much, and met the most amazing people along the way. I can't wait to see what the next year brings.'
Her co-stars were quick to show their support. Sydney Martin, who plays Betsy Swain, commented: 'So proud, you're smashing it.' Molly Kilduff, who portrays Shanice Michaelis, added: 'You are smashing it.'
