Coronation Street star Julia Goulding has issued a stark warning to fans, saying they "should be very worried" for David and Shona Platt as the manipulative games of newcomer Jodie Ramsey continue to spiral. The actress, who plays Shona, teased that Jodie is capable of "something a bit darker" than the mischief she has already caused.
Trouble from the start
Jodie arrived in Weatherfield earlier this year after being found tied up in the back of a van during a dramatic crossover with Emmerdale. She was later reunited with her long-lost sister, Shona, in hospital, and after David invited her to stay, she has been causing chaos ever since.
Her schemes have included trying to drive a wedge between Shona and David, and targeting other residents with her unsettling games. She keeps a trinket box filled with items she has stolen from neighbours, including Bernie Winter, Briah Packham, and DS Lisa Connor-Swain.
A gun and a fake-out
Last week, Lily Platt discovered the box again and later told David she found a gun inside. When confronted, Jodie produced a fake weapon, but later revealed she had hidden the real one on top of the kitchen cupboards.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Julia warned: "Fans should be very worried for David and Shona." She added: "Jodie is capable of all sorts of mischief, maybe something a bit darker than that. Deep down, I would like to think they could survive anything as a couple. But Jodie is manipulative – and she's very good at it. So viewers should watch this space."
