Denise Welch left the Loose Women panel stunned on Tuesday as she joked that kissing her former Coronation Street co-star Michael Le Vell was 'a bit like kissing a cat's bum'. The 64-year-old actress made the comment during a discussion about kissing techniques and worst kisses.
Welch, who played barmaid Natalie Barnes on the cobbles from 1997 to 2000, recalled a fictitious on-screen kiss with Michael Le Vell's character Kevin Webster. She explained that she had to persuade him to kiss her passionately to sell the affair storyline, but found his technique lacking.
'It was a bit like a cat's bum sort of shape,' she said. 'Sorry Michael because I love you, but it was a bit like kissing a cat's bum.' The panel laughed as she demonstrated by pursing her lips tightly.
The revelation came after Welch shared a sizzling Instagram snap in May, promoting body positivity. She posed in a plunging swimsuit in Greece and celebrated her curves, lumps and bumps, saying her '64 yr old body has served me well'.
