The truth about Eva Price's (Catherine Tyldesley) attack was revealed in Coronation Street this evening, leaving both families torn apart. Eva chose not to involve the police and informed Leanne and Toyah Battersby (Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor) that Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) was responsible for pushing her down the stairs.
While the Battersby sisters were shocked, Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) reacted with fury. He wanted to report Sam to the police and questioned his actions until he became overwhelmed and fled the pub.
Jodie's plan continues
Elsewhere, Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) carried on with her scheme to ruin the lives of those closest to her, replacing Doug Ramsey's (Steve Evets) antipsychotics with painkillers. Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) also opened up to Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) about her connection to Rachel.

Sam's confession has shattered both families, as their loved ones struggle to come to terms with his actions. Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) overhears Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) admitting he'll struggle to pay off the debt Sam has accrued, and the admission clearly sparks his interest.
Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin) arrive at the undertaker's to order Rachel's plaque, but when Sally pulls out a photo album, Christina claims she has another client due and ushers them out.
Jodie is delighted to realise Doug's paranoia is kicking in. When he remarks he can hear static coming from the radio, she pretends she has no idea what he's talking about while turning up the volume.
Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) accuses Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) of giving Harper all of her attention. When she points out that Jodie is always there for her, Shona feels terrible.
