Coronation Street fans are convinced Debbie Webster has another secret child, with many suspecting Lauren Bolton could be her long-lost daughter.
Debbie (Sue Devaney) first appeared on the ITV soap in 1984 as the sister of Kevin (Michael Le Vell), leaving a year later before returning in 2019. Over the past 12 months, the businesswoman has faced a dementia diagnosis and time in prison, as well as the revelation that Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) is not her brother but her biological son.
Fans spot resemblance between actresses
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, viewers speculated that Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) could be related to Debbie. One person wrote: “Cait Fitton and Sue Devaney actually do look very identical to each other as Cait looks a lot like a younger version of Sue during the 80s and 90s. Wouldn’t surprise me if Lauren may end up being Debbie’s other secret child.”
Another added: “Can’t unsee this now,” while a third agreed: “Most likely.” A further social media user commented: “Of course, everyone seems to be related on that show!”

Lauren Bolton first appeared on the soap in 2022 and has been at the centre of several major storylines, from growing up with her far-right extremist father Reece Bolton (Scott Anson) to killing her abuser Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
Recently, she has grown close to newcomer Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike), who moved to Weatherfield last year with his family to take over the Rovers Return.
