Coronation Street fans are predicting that Bethany Platt may become romantically involved with DC Kit Green while her mother Sarah remains in prison for the murder of Theo Silverton.
Sarah was arrested after confessing to killing Theo, whose body was found by Betsy Swain on the night of Lisa Swain's wedding to Carla Connor. Theo had abused his partner Todd Grimshaw for 13 months.
Initially, six suspects were considered, but viewers learned Sarah dealt the fatal blow, pushing a drunk Theo off scaffolding. She then called her ex Gary Windass for help.
Kit's anger at Gary
In Wednesday's episode, Kit confronted Gary in the Bistro after visiting Sarah in prison. He was furious to see Gary laughing with his family while Sarah was behind bars.
Fans now speculate that Kit and Bethany may grow closer. @DrSwarla2025 tweeted: "I wouldn't be surprised if something happens between Bethany and Kit." @Her_EvilQueen asked: "So how long do we give it before Bethany and Kit are jumping into bed with each other."
@RajinderBa6149 suggested: "Lucy did mention Bethany does something bad which in my theory Kit & Bethany get closer each day whilst Sarah is locked up, till feelings & tensions rise between them."
However, not all fans are keen. @connorswains_ wrote: "No that’s grim I hate that."
