Coronation Street fans are convinced they know what DC Kit Green's real problem is, and it has little to do with the arrest of his girlfriend, Sarah Platt.
The detective has been determined to find Theo Silverton's killer since his death in April, focusing on sending Gary Windass down for the crime. Theo's body was discovered by Betsy Swain on the night of her mother Lisa Swain's wedding to Carla Connor, ending his 13-month abuse of his partner, Todd Grimshaw.
Initially, suspects included Todd, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary, and Danielle Silverton. However, last month viewers learned that Sarah appeared to deliver the blow that caused Theo to fall from scaffolding outside his flat. She then called Gary for help.
Sarah's confession and arrest
Sarah confessed to Todd, while Kit remained unaware she was the killer. She later told Kit the truth just as he was about to propose. Despite his attempts to cover up her crime, Sarah was arrested this week on suspicion of murder. DS Lisa Connor-Swain interrogated Sarah, presenting evidence of Theo's blood on her clothing from the wedding, taken after Sarah's own attack by Jodie Ramsey.
On Tuesday (July 21), Lisa questioned Sarah again, but she was charged with Theo's murder. Kit has urged Sarah to admit Gary helped cover up the crime, as Lisa suspects his involvement.
Fans spot Kit's jealousy
On Wednesday (July 22), Kit confronted Gary in the Bistro after visiting Sarah in prison, angered to see him laughing with his family while Sarah was behind bars. Fans believe Kit's vendetta stems from jealousy over Sarah's closeness to Gary.
