Coronation Street fans have been going wild over Cait Fitton's latest social media post, a sweet tribute to her co-star Sydney Martin, who responded by calling her her 'whole world'.
Fitton, best known for playing Lauren Bolton in the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, made her debut in late 2022. Lauren arrived in Weatherfield with her evil dad, Reece Bolton, a member of Griff Reynolds' far-right gang, and was used to help rope an impressionable Max Turner into joining them.
Lauren's Turmoil and Quieter Life
After the far-right storyline, Lauren faced more turmoil as her alter ego was abused by solicitor Joel Deering. She later gave birth to his son, Frankie, who was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia, all before she was charged with Joel's murder and cleared by a jury.
Lauren has since had a quieter life on the cobbles, landing a job as a barmaid at the Rovers Return, and has more recently been trying to support her best friend Betsy Swain after she suffered a life-changing stroke earlier this year.
Sweet TikTok Tribute
It was Betsy actress Sydney Martin that Cait paid tribute to in a sweet video shared on TikTok. She posted a selfie of the pair with text over the top reading: "No competition. No jealousy. She wants the best for me, and I want the absolute best for her. Just genuine love and support for each other."
Cait captioned the post: "My best friend is better than urs @Sydney Martin #girlsgirl #bestfriend #fyp #femanine #foryourpage," before Sydney, who joined Corrie as the daughter of DS Lisa Connor-Swain in 2024, responded: "My best friend in every universe [face holding back tears emoji]. My whole wide world."
