Coronation Street fans are fearing for Brody Michaelis after newcomer Idris Nazir's true colours were exposed in recent episodes. The teenager, who first appeared in the ITV soap in early 2025 as a fellow inmate at the Secure Training Centre (STC) alongside Dylan Wilson, has been taken under Idris's wing, but viewers now suspect the relationship could lead Brody into trouble.
Brody's Background and Current Situation
Brody was introduced when Dylan was sentenced to six months in the STC for owning the knife that killed Mason Radcliffe in January 2025. Brody later revealed his parents, Mick and Lou Michaelis, had moved to Weatherfield. Mick killed PC Craig Tinker and Lou attacked Gary Windass, leading to their imprisonment. Brody and his younger siblings, Joanie and Shanice, are now in the care of Sally and Tim Metcalfe.
However, since Idris arrived in May, he has taken Brody under his wing, involving him in questionable activities. Idris first appeared at Speed Daal, forcing two customers to pay up, supporting waiter Brody and co-owner Leanne Battersby. On Monday (July 6), Abi's son Alfie was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties due to the mould. Idris roped Brody into helping with repairs, taking moisture readings, but panicked upon seeing the results. He went to the hospital to check on Alfie, unaware that Carl Webster had already linked the mould to Alfie's illness.
Back on the street, Leanne and Alya told Idris the previous landlord must have known about the damp. Idris shifted the blame and directed Brody to bundle the former landlord into his car, driving to a wasteland. A terrified Brody told Idris he didn't want to do that kind of work, leaving fans concerned.
