Coronation Street Fans Demand Theo Silverton Killer Reveal as Gary Windass 'Too Obvious'
Corrie Fans Demand Theo Killer Reveal, Gary Windass 'Too Obvious'

Coronation Street fans have been sharing the same demand over Theo Silverton's killer as they claim Gary Windass is 'too obvious' to be responsible for the abuser's recent demise.

As those who follow the ITV soap know, flash-forward scenes aired in February transported viewers to April, where Betsy Swain was being interviewed by police after discovering the dead body of someone she knew on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain's, wedding to Carla Connor.

At the time, it was then revealed that Theo, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh and Maggie Driscoll were the potential victims, with the week following showing how their behaviours could lead to them being in mortal peril.

It wasn't until a week after the wedding actually took place on April 23, and aired on-screen, that Betsy was seen discovering Theo dead, following a week of dramatic episodes which left viewers questioning which of the five possible victims would be found.

A 'whodunnit' has since been underway, with Corrie previously confirming Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass and Danielle Silverton as the six potential suspects.

Summer was charged with Theo's death, but has since been released after Tyrone Dobbs finally told the truth, and admitted to see Summer on the night, as well as the murder victim alive at the time she was leaving the flat her shared with his husband, Todd.

With Summer now seemingly off the hook, DC Kit Green is determined to prove Gary was the one to see Theo off, with Corrie fans aware that he is hiding something alongside his former flame, Sarah Platt, who is now Kit's girlfriend.

After confronting him in the street, Gary told Kit he needed to 'prove it', but as he walked away, it was clear Gary was concerned. A flashback to the night of Theo’s murder showed Gary at the top of the scaffolding while holding a mallet. He could be seen staring down at Theo's lifeless body on the floor, which is where he was later found by Betsy.

But Corrie fans think it's 'too obvious' to be Gary. Meanwhile, fans are keen for the murderer to be revealed as they issued the same demand.

On the Coronation Street Reddit page, igneous1978 said: "I know we are being led to believe from today’s flashback that it was Gary that killed Theo but it’s too obvious and we also know that no major character is leaving so no chance they’ll go to prison. My money is on Miles, his on." calculatingmacaw replied: "Someone brought up about Summer's release at the Platt pizza party today and the camera immediately cut to Jodie, then the other Platts. I've never bought into it before but I am starting to consider it might have been Jodie, though god knows the motive!"

Ok_Junket_8162 admitted: "I think we need an answer soon, as it's dragging its feet and getting boring." Sudden-Astronaut2505 echoed: "Please end the Theo storyline... Just have someone confess." Proud_Ad2424 added: "Yeah there’s no way they’re revealing the actual killer in the most nonchalant 5 second flashback at the end of a Wednesday ep. I wish they’d just get on with it though."
