Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton on Coronation Street, has a life away from the cobbles that includes a boyfriend, a past appearance on Britain's Got Talent, and personal losses.
Britain's Got Talent Stint
Before joining Coronation Street in 2022, Cait auditioned for Britain's Got Talent in 2020 as part of the sign-language choir Sign Along With Us. The group reached the final with a rendition of "This Is Me" from The Greatest Showman, but lost to comedic pianist Jon Courtenay.
Previous Coronation Street Role
Cait had appeared on Coronation Street before playing Lauren. She told The Sun: "I played a guest at Steve McDonald's wedding to Michelle and sat next to Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria. I've not seen her since, but hopefully I'll be able to tell her and see if she remembers me. The wedding reception was in The Rovers and I had a little dance with Ali King, who plays Carla Connor." She added: "I was also in the school sports day with Jimmi Harkishin, who plays Dev. I loved that day because I remember Jimmi just made all the kids laugh."
Boyfriend Ben
Off-screen, Cait is in a relationship with her boyfriend Ben. She first hinted at the relationship in June 2025, revealing he had bought her a Jellycat toy. In March, the couple marked their first anniversary. Ben shared a snap on Instagram Story with the caption: "Happy 1st anniversary ma love [red heart emoji]." Cait reshared it, adding: "Nothing but love" with a teary-eyed emoji and pink heart. In June, Cait celebrated Ben's 24th birthday with a post: "Happy birthday to the man who steals my food, leaves socks everywhere, and somehow still manages to be the best thing that ever happened to me. You're kind, loving, and you put up with me - that alone makes you a superhero. Thank you for being my rock, my comfort, and my favourite chaos. I hope your day is as special as you and even better than that! Love you long time."
Heartbreaking Losses
In November 2025, Cait paid tribute to her father, who died eight years prior. She posted a childhood photo with him on Instagram Story, writing: "Happy heavenly birthday Dad, 8 years will have passed by this year <3 I'm sending you lots of love up there." Earlier this year, she announced her grandfather's death just days before his birthday. She posted black and white photos on Instagram Stories, saying: "Happy heavenly birthday to my best buddy. It's been just over a week since you left us... and I'm still trying to navigate how to get through this without you. Hope you are dancing up there with gran." After his funeral, she shared a photo showing a football T-shirt and 'Greatest grandad' cushion, captioned: "Said goodbye to my hero today. My best mate till the day I die, always and forever your little dancing queen RIP GDAD."
