Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell, best known for playing Kevin Webster, has married his long-term partner Louise Gibbons. The 61-year-old soap star and his fiancée of nine years exchanged vows at Sale Town Hall in Manchester on a warm day with temperatures reaching 23 degrees.
Le Vell wore a beige suit and brown tie, while Gibbons looked elegant in a strapless white bodice with feathered sleeves. The couple smiled and kissed as they exited the ceremony, with duck egg blue confetti thrown into the air. They were joined by close friends and family, including several of Le Vell's co-stars.
The couple began dating in 2014 after meeting through Gibbons' brother, who is Le Vell's local bookmaker. They announced their engagement in 2017 after a three-year romance. Despite a brief split early in their relationship, they reconciled and have kept their romance largely out of the public eye.
Among the guests were Le Vell's on-screen sister Sue Devaney (Debbie Webster), co-stars Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs), Sally Carman (Abi Franklin) and her real-life husband Joe Duttine (Tim Metcalfe), and his on-screen ex-wife Sally Dynevor. The reception was a low-key affair, reflecting the couple's preference for privacy.
Le Vell was previously married to Janette Beverley, whom he met on the set of Coronation Street. They were married for 25 years and have two children before separating in 2011.
