Next week on Coronation Street, the Platts experience both joy and fear as baby Harper is finally allowed home from the hospital, while Jodie Ramsey's trinket box is uncovered. Sarah Platt remains in hospital following an attack during her prison stint, and DC Kit Green has revealed that Jodie was the perpetrator.
Shona Confronts Jodie Over Assault
An angry Shona Platt confronts her sister Jodie, demanding answers about the attack on Sarah. Later, they visit Sarah in the hospital, where she tells them about Jodie's trinket box. The search for the box begins, and Lily later tiptoes downstairs after David and Shona have gone to bed, reaching under the sofa to pull out the trinket box.
Sam Returns Home
Sam Blakeman returns from the hospital, and Leanne Battersby, Nick Tilsley, and Toyah Battersby fuss over him. He is troubled when Leanne reveals she has a new boyfriend, but she reassures him and says she would like them to meet. Leanne later introduces Sam to Idris Nazir at Speed Dhal.
Harper's Homecoming Party
David and Shona arrive home with Harper to a surprise family welcome party. Everyone is stunned when Jodie arrives and tells them she has confessed to the police about the assault. She shocks them further by asking if she can move back in while awaiting her court case. Sam is upset when David won't let him hold Harper. Lily, making sure nobody is listening, quizzes Jodie about the trinket box. Bethany Platt visits Sarah in prison and tells her about Jodie's arrival at the party and her confession.
Sam Opens Up to Idris
Sam tells Idris about the incident with Harper and how David thinks he is mentally unstable and doesn't trust him. Idris shares his own teenage anxieties and how he overcame them. Nick and Toyah arrive, and Sam says he feels much better after talking to Idris.
Jodie's Manipulation Continues
David and Shona confront Jodie about the contents of the trinket box. Later, Jodie steps in when Lily struggles to stop some lads from bullying Harry Platt at the precinct. As the lads run off, Jodie takes a picture of them. At No. 8, Lily tells David how Jodie scared off the bullies. Later, Jodie creates a new thread on a mothers' forum, calling herself Shona and describing herself as a first-time mum who went through a traumatic birth.
David Fumes at Maria
Maria Windass wakes up with a hangover, and her husband Gary urges her to call in sick and do something nice together. David is furious at her for swinging the lead, pointing out that he had to close the salon while visiting Sarah in prison. Maria angrily stalks off, asserting that Sarah is where she belongs.
Carla Supports Sarah
At No. 6, Carla Connor-Swain tells her wife Lisa that she is going to visit Sarah later, as she is not coping well and Harry is struggling without her. The comments leave Lisa troubled.
Betsy's Discharge
Roy Cropper visits his daughter Betsy Swai in the hospital and helps with her language skills. Carla later tells Betsy that she will be discharged tomorrow, but Betsy admits she is nervous about going home. The following day, Lisa helps a fragile Betsy out of the car and into the house. Lisa, Carla, and Ryan try to appear upbeat as they show Betsy the bed made up for her in the living room, but a dejected Betsy asks Lisa to contact the fashion college and let them know she won't be going.
Cassie's Plot Against Ross
Cassie Plummer is determined to get rid of Ross Wilkes and shows Steve McDonald an app where users can post reviews of ex-boyfriends. She has uploaded a photo of Ross, hoping for a deluge of horror stories to show Tyrone Dobbs. Steve advises her to delete it. Later, Cassie takes a call from Ross's ex, Alison, but Ross overhears and recognizes her name. Cassie summons Steve, Tyrone, Tracy Barlow, and Ross to the Rovers and introduces them to Alison Shave, who reveals that Ross stole money from her and threatened her.
Ross's New Job and Birthday
Steve and Cassie find Tyrone, Ross, and Tracy enjoying celebratory drinks after Ross reveals he has accepted a job at Highfield Prison and will stay in the area. Cassie is furious and stalks out. Steve advises her to keep her cool, assuring her that Ross will eventually show his true colors. Ross calls at No. 9 and reveals it is his birthday. Fiz Dobbs insists he, Tracy, Cassie, and Steve come for tea. Cassie struggles as everyone sings his praises, and Tracy says how great it is to be with a real alpha male. After stepping outside for air, Cassie returns to find them singing 'Happy Birthday' and decides she cannot keep quiet any longer.
Cassie's Sabotage Backfires
Later, Cassie is furious to realize Ross stayed the night at No. 1 and Tracy has forgiven him. When Ross reveals he starts his new job and must take a drug test, Cassie makes a mental note. Seeing Amy Barlow sharing smoothies with him, Cassie mixes some of Tyrone's tablets into the drink and makes her escape, unaware she has dropped the pill packet. Steve finds an empty strip of strong painkillers in Cassie's cardigan pockets. He tells her their relationship is over, and Tyrone throws her out.
Asha's Date with Sienna
In the shop flat, a nervous Asha Alahan prepares for her first date with Sienna. Nina Kucas assures her she is gorgeous. Later, Asha and Sienna return from their date all smiles, but when Sienna's phone rings, her mood changes, and she announces she has to go. The move leaves Asha, Nina, and Amy bemused. Sienna later apologizes, but Nina is suspicious of her excuse about taking her elderly aunt to bingo. Nina pops her head around Asha's door only to find her in bed with Sienna. Apologetic Nina rushes to her own room as Sienna leaves. Unable to find her wage packet, Nina suggests to a horrified Asha that Sienna must have stolen it. Nina accuses Sienna of stealing her cash, who is horrified and labels Nina a jealous ex before storming out.
