Coronation Street fans believe they have uncovered the true identity of Theo Silverton's murderer, dismissing the flashback that seemed to implicate Gary Windass as a red herring.
Flashback Fails to Convince
During Wednesday night's episode, a flashback showed Gary on scaffolding outside Theo and Todd's flat, looking down at Theo's lifeless body. However, viewers remain unconvinced that Gary is the culprit. Many argue that his expression suggested he was shocked to find the body, not that he caused the death.
Kit Green continued to pressure Gary, who maintained his innocence. Yet Gary is clearly hiding something, and the strain is mounting.
Fan Theories Abound
Fans have proposed several alternative suspects, including Jodie Ramsey, Sarah Platt, and Sam Blakeman. Some believe Gary witnessed the murder and took the weapon, or that he arrived to confront Theo only to discover him dead.
One fan speculated: "I still don't think it was Gary. I think he went to look for Theo to give him a good beating but found him already dead. I think he told Sarah and they both agreed he couldn't go to the police as they'd never believe him."
Another theory: "I think Gary & Sarah came across Theo dead in the flat, thought Todd had killed him, and started covering up for him - Gary pushed his body off the scaffolding to make it look like an accident & Sarah disposed of evidence."
A third viewer suggested: "I think it’s Sarah that killed him," while others pointed to Sam Blakeman: "I still think it was Sam." Another added: "It’s Theo’s Son and his mom Danielle is covering for him."
One fan even proposed: "I read it was Sam... he pushed Theo thinking it was Will who was bullying him. That's why he's got psychosis."
Further comments included: "I’ve got my money on Sarah but I might be wrong," and "What Gary described to Kit, was Jodie and she had that weird interaction with Theo for no reason. She would be able to just go on with her life if she killed him."
More Suspects Emerge
Some viewers believe Gary saw Sam commit the murder, while others suspect Todd Grimshaw. The speculation continues to grow as the storyline unfolds.
