Come Dine With Me host admits 'disaster' as burnt dish scares guests
Come Dine With Me host's burnt dish leaves guests scared

Kirsty cooked a burnt pasta bake on the latest episode of Come Dine With Me, leaving guests concerned about her culinary skills. The Channel 4 show was back in Belfast for episode 4, as five contestants competed to impress one another and win the £1,000 cash prize. Hosting an Ibiza-themed dinner party, Kirsty aimed to lighten the mood after Aodhan's gothic-themed evening.

Overcooked pasta bake causes chaos

As guests waited for their main course, Kirsty struggled in the kitchen. She noticed she had accidentally burnt her lactose-free pasta bake. Explaining the mishap, she said: "It's just the cheese that has really ruined it. So one batch I'm really happy with, it's really cheesy and great. The other batch got a bit burnt. But yeah, what can you do?"

Guests could smell the burnt dish from the dining room. Donna remarked: "I can actually smell something burnt!" Aodhan asked if Kirsty had made the pasta herself, and when she said no, he replied: "I didn't either, so I can't say anything!"

Guests share their thoughts

Andrea felt more preparation should have gone into the dish, especially since the sauce was shop-bought. She admitted she would have liked to see more elevation. Donna later told viewers: "The main was OK, there were a few bits burnt on it, yeah. It was feeling a bit crispy, I was a wee bit scared of breaking my tooth. Yeah, it was grand!"

Kirsty acknowledged the feedback about her cooking skills, declaring: "I've done the best I can. I'm really proud of myself." Come Dine With Me airs weekdays at 6:30pm on Channel 4.
