Former Coronation Street star Colson Smith, 27, was seen beaming as he attended co-star Lucy Fallon's 30th birthday party in Manchester, arm in arm with his girlfriend Taylor Gunn. The actor, who played Craig Tinker on the ITV soap, has been dating Gunn, a make-up artist and wedding coordinator, for nearly two years, but only went public last year during his stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
According to a source, the couple kept their romance quiet to avoid the showbiz spotlight. 'Colson and Taylor are really happy together. He is a private person, but it felt like the right time to share the romance,' a friend said. The pair are said to have met through mutual friends, and Gunn works at Manchester Hall, a venue where the Corrie cast often hosts events.
Smith was axed from Coronation Street earlier this year after 14 years on the show. He announced the news on social media, saying, 'Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinker’s time on the Cobbles is to come to an end in 2025. I’ve loved every single second of my 14 year stay.' He added that he is excited for 'chapter two' of his career.
At the party, Lucy Fallon also revealed her engagement to partner Ryan Ledson. Smith joked in her comments, 'Delighted to be best man and maid of honour.'
