Coleen Rooney has shared details of the ‘extreme’ breakfasts she prepares for her four sons before school. The I’m A Celebrity star, who shares Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, 10, and Cass, eight, with footballer Wayne Rooney, said the morning menu at their Cheshire home can include pancakes, toasties, and even steak and eggs – a favourite of Kit’s.
Speaking on IMAGE magazine’s podcast, Coleen explained that she prefers to cook to order rather than offer cereal. “I have friends that say, ‘Why don’t you just put cereal out and let them help themselves?’ But I like to know that they’ve gone out with a full stomach, with something that they actually wanted,” she said.
She revealed that each son has different tastes: Kit, ten, enjoys steak and eggs, which some might consider “extreme”, while her 12-year-old is more plain, preferring pasta and cereal. “He’s the fussy one,” she added. Coleen also makes toasties and pancakes, ensuring even if the boys dislike school lunch, they have had a substantial breakfast.
Meanwhile, Coleen and Wayne made a strong statement about their marriage after he was seen partying with a mystery woman at a pre-BRITs event. The former footballer, who has previously spoken about his drunken mistakes, attended Coleen’s Primark collection launch in Liverpool, where he was reportedly affectionate and supportive. A source told The Sun: “All eyes were on them.”
However, insiders claimed Coleen was “livid” and “humiliated” by the incident, particularly given her recent career success post-I’m A Celebrity. Another source said she worries it could undermine her achievements, but she believes the encounter was innocent. The couple have been documenting their life for Coleen’s upcoming documentary.
