Coleen Nolan has returned to social media following her sister Linda's heartbreaking cancer update. The 65-year-old singer revealed that tumours in her brain have grown after her current treatment stopped working.
Coleen, who appeared cheerful in a video from the Loose Women studios, was seen whizzing around on a chair and telling the team: 'I've missed you.' She also posted on Instagram to inform fans she would be on This Morning.
Linda Nolan, a Mirror columnist, shared the difficult news that her most recent scans show growth of the two largest tumours at the front and left side of her brain, as well as a slight increase in smaller cancerous spots. She was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2005, and secondary breast cancer was later found in her hip in 2017 and then in her liver.
Linda said: 'I sobbed when my consultant first told me. I know so many people are suffering and going through things, but I thought, just for once, could cancer just leave me alone? My heart sank.' She admitted she had feared something was wrong due to worsening balance and memory issues.
Despite the setback, Linda is set to start a new chemotherapy drug called Enhertu tomorrow. The drug is currently denied to women on the NHS in England with a different type of secondary breast cancer due to a funding row. Linda said: 'To be able to try a new drug is amazing, I just wish everyone could have this opportunity.'
