Coleen Nolan has confirmed she is putting her North Staffordshire farm up for sale and moving in with boyfriend Ryan Brockbank, whom she began dating this summer.
Writing in her newsletter to Mirror readers, she said: "It's true the farm is up for sale, but I'd been mulling over the decision long before I met Ryan. I'm going to be renting a smaller place down south with Ryan, which will be a lot more manageable."
Marriage discussions revealed
Coleen, 61, and Ryan, 41, met on Instagram following her appearance on Celebs Go Dating earlier this year. While a guest on Vanessa Feltz's YouTube show this week, Coleen - who has matching tattoos with Ryan - revealed the couple have discussed marriage.
Coleen, who was previously married to Shane Ritchie and Ray Fensome, said: "It's a weird feeling because on the one hand, I feel sad to be moving on, but on the other hand I'm so excited for a whole new beginning.
"I feel lucky that Ryan came along when he did. He was worried about me giving up the farm and we looked at all the ways we could make it work, but he has a young daughter and needs to be near her."
Family reasons behind the move
Coleen has lived on the farm for two years while her daughter Ciara, 25, lives in the annex with her fiancé Max and their one-year-old son, Sid.
She said: "My daughter came to me months ago and said they wanted to move out and get their own place. I knew it was on the horizon - they're getting married next year and want to live their own lives.
"Even though we all get on brilliantly, for them it feels like they're still living at home with a parent and I totally get it. It's time for them to go and I'm proud of them."
Coleen has reassured readers that her priority is finding all of her animals a good home and her dogs and cats will move with her. For now, she's looking forward to being closer to her son Jake Roche, 34, his wife Georgia and their one-year-old son Rudy.
She added: "So, even if I hadn't met Ryan, I'd still be moving, I just wouldn't have ended up as far south. All my kids are happy for me - they hated seeing me so stressed over the farm, but I'll never regret giving it a go. It's been brilliant."
Embracing the change
While Coleen calls the change 'scary', she says she's trusting her gut on this big life change. She said: "You don't know what life is going to throw at you and I'm at an age where I can't wait for tomorrow. And, if I'm wrong, then I'll just open another new chapter."
