Coleen Nolan confirms move with boyfriend after farm sale

Coleen Nolan has confirmed she is selling her North Staffordshire farm and moving in with boyfriend Ryan Brockbank, a decision she says was made before they began dating.

In her newsletter to Mirror readers, Nolan wrote: “It’s true the farm is up for sale, but I’d been mulling over the decision long before I met Ryan. I’m going to be renting a smaller place down south with Ryan, which will be a lot more manageable.”

Relationship timeline and marriage talk

Nolan, 61, and Brockbank, 41, met on Instagram following her appearance on Celebs Go Dating earlier this year. The couple, who have matching tattoos, have discussed marriage, Nolan revealed while a guest on Vanessa Feltz’s YouTube show this week.

Nolan, previously married to Shane Ritchie and Ray Fensome, said: “It’s a weird feeling because on the one hand, I feel sad to be moving on, but on the other hand I’m so excited for a whole new beginning.”

Family reasons behind the move

“I feel lucky that Ryan came along when he did. He was worried about me giving up the farm and we looked at all the ways we could make it work, but he has a young daughter and needs to be near her,” she added.

Nolan has lived on the farm for two years while her daughter Ciara, 25, lives in the annex with her fiancé Max and their one-year-old son, Sid. Nolan said her daughter told her months ago that they wanted to move out and get their own place, with their wedding planned for next year.

“Even though we all get on brilliantly, for them it feels like they’re still living at home with a parent and I totally get it. It’s time for them to go and I’m proud of them,” she said.

Animals and future plans

Nolan reassured readers that her priority is finding all of her animals a good home, with her dogs and cats moving with her. She is also looking forward to being closer to her son Jake Roche, 34, his wife Georgia and their one-year-old son Rudy.

She added: “So, even if I hadn’t met Ryan, I’d still be moving, I just wouldn’t have ended up as far south. All my kids are happy for me – they hated seeing me so stressed over the farm, but I’ll never regret giving it a go. It’s been brilliant.”

Calling the change “scary,” Nolan said she is trusting her gut on the decision. “You don’t know what life is going to throw at you and I’m at an age where I can’t wait for tomorrow. And, if I’m wrong, then I’ll just open another new chapter,” she said.
