Coleen Nolan Denies 'Cruel Bully' Claims in Family Dispute

Coleen Nolan has strongly denied allegations from her son Shane's ex-girlfriend, Emma Kivell, who accused the Loose Women star of being a 'cruel bully'. Emma claimed that Coleen called her 'every name under the sun' and stopped seeing her granddaughter for a period because she was unwilling to visit Emma's home.

Emma and Shane met in 2015 and welcomed a daughter, Amelia-Rose, the following year. Although not in a relationship, Shane reportedly pledged to support Emma as a single mother, with Coleen present at the birth. However, Emma alleged that Coleen's behaviour changed over time, contributing to her having a breakdown.

A spokesperson for Coleen told the Mirror: 'Our client strongly disputes the allegations, which are inaccurate and misleading. They are presented without the necessary context and arise from a contested private family matter. It is inappropriate to report on such matters, particularly where doing so risks involving a child.'

The feud has been ongoing, with Emma previously accusing Coleen of 'toxicity and pettiness'. Shane has insisted he pays child maintenance, but Emma claimed he made no real effort to be involved in his daughter's life and that financial support stopped during the pandemic, resuming only after court enforcement.

Shane has since moved on with mortgage manager Kimberley Sallis, with whom he welcomed a son last November. Coleen, who is also a grandmother to Ciara's son and Jake's expected child, has previously spoken about becoming a grandmother for the first time, expressing joy despite the circumstances of Shane and Emma's relationship.
