Coleen Nolan has opened up about the relentless trolling she faces over her weight, admitting she 'can't win' regardless of her size. The Loose Women star, 60, lost three and a half stone, dropping from a size 20 to a size 14, but says the abuse has continued.
After years of being called 'fat' by online trolls, Nolan now faces criticism for losing too much weight. 'I tried to not let the trolls affect me, but it was hard when they were calling me fat and all these names,' she told Bella Magazine. 'Now, people attack me for the opposite, claiming I've lost too much weight. I just can't win!'
Despite the negativity, Nolan says she takes the comments about her weight loss as a compliment, as she 'needed' to shed the pounds. She added: 'I almost think thank you because I needed to lose the weight.' The singer and agony aunt says her health kick has left her feeling 'much more confident' and she now allows herself 'one or two treats instead of the whole packet.'
Nolan faced a U-turn on her stance against weight loss jabs after previously expressing concerns about their long-term effects. In October, she became the face of Voy, a clinic offering Mounjaro and Wegovy jabs alongside coaching. She had earlier worried about side effects after her son Shane lost three stone on the jabs, but now says the collaboration has helped her break the 'exhausting' dieting cycle.
The star received an outpouring of support from celebrity friends when she shared her weight loss success on Instagram last month. Loose Women co-star Katie Piper commented: 'You look so beautiful,' while Love Island's Amy Hart wrote: 'You look amazing!'
