Jeremy Clarkson has admitted 'I'm literally useless' and offered an apology to one of his fans. The Clarkson's Farm star was speaking with a contestant on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? when a 'nightmare' question sprang up for them to answer.
Data analyst Natalie Waldegrave sailed through the initial questions but it was the £64,000 question that left her utterly stumped. She asked Jeremy to use her safety net though she had to tackle a question about lakes to secure it.
The presenter enquired: 'Which of these popular tourist lakes is the largest by area?' with the potential responses being Lake Windermere, Lake Garda, Lake Tahoe and Lake Titicaca. Earlier in the show, Natalie had admitted that geography wasn't her 'strongest point' and decided to use her 'Ask The Host' lifeline.
Jeremy confessed he was 'useless' and unable to provide a definitive answer. He apologised for the question, admitting he didn't believe 'anyone in the room or the world' could answer it.
Still unsure about the 'nightmare' question, Natalie decided to use her fourth and final lifeline to phone her brother Daniel, who was equally baffled.
After much thought, Natalie chose to walk away with the £32,000 she had built up but before she could exit, Jeremy asked her which answer she would have chosen.
Natalie guessed Lake Titicaca and Jeremy informed her that if she had continued with that answer, she would have gone on to the next round of the quiz show and could have set her safety net at £64,000.
Regardless, Natalie was thrilled to be leaving with £32,000 towards her dream home.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? with Jeremy Clarkson can be watched on ITVX.
