Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney, 53, nearly lost her balance while getting out of the water during a beach day in Barbados. The actress, who plays Cassie Plummer on the ITV soap, was seen struggling against the waves as she attempted to exit the sea on Monday.
Sweeney wore a multi-coloured floral swimsuit with thick red straps, her blonde hair in a messy bun and a silver cross necklace. The Caribbean getaway comes weeks after her split from boxer Ricky Hatton, following an eight-month relationship.
The former couple, who dated in secret after meeting on Dancing On Ice, ended their romance amicably. A source told MailOnline: 'Claire and Ricky remain good friends, there has been no fallout between them. They decided they're better off as pals.'
Sweeney confirmed the split at The Devil Wears Prada premiere, saying: 'I'm great - we're still friends, we were friends, we dated and now we're friends again. It's all good!' The actress has been consoled by celebrity friends and fellow cast members.
