Ex-adult star Emily Willis has been cruelly branded a 'disappointment and burden to her family' by B-list rapper Chromazz on the 'No Jumper' podcast.
Chromazz, a Toronto-based rapper and social media influencer, made the comments to host Adam 22, ridiculing Willis despite her being permanently disabled and needing round-the-clock care from her mother.
Chromazz's comments on 'No Jumper'
Chromazz told Adam 22: 'It's so sad for the family like you're already kind of a disappointment to your family [by working in the adult industry] ... and now you're like a burden to them. It's like, how s*** are you? You're already doing porn and now you're doing so much drugs you can't even talk.'
Adam quickly snapped back: 'But you saying that right after she experienced an overdose that, you know, basically left her... I don't even know how to phrase it. And with you being a person that has done some adult content, that could be perceived as very rude.'
Chromazz continued, saying she would view herself as a terrible person had she 'overdosed like Emily'. Adam then asked if her parents would be embarrassed of her 'right now', to which she responded: 'Probably my dad. We have a good relationship but I don't think he agrees with the whole OnlyFans thing.'
Internet backlash
The internet quickly condemned Chromazz. One X user wrote: 'I mean doing porn isn’t a great career let’s be honest. But what a sad b**** to be saying this sort of thing to someone who’s bed bound in hospital. Honestly, some people really shouldn’t be allowed near mics, especially... this woman who think they’re the s***.'
Another said: 'She’s doing this just for this clips, completely soulless.' A third added: 'Chromazz is just an awful human being who uses other people's tragic medical emergencies to gain quick attention and algorithmic clout for a failing brand. Kicking someone while they are literally down and unable to speak for themselves is peak cowardice.'
A fourth wrote: 'What a horrible woman. If she was my daughter I’d be so disappointed. Like, not one moral value installed? Basic human empathy? The gift of tact? What a c***.'
Emily Willis's health crisis
On January 27, 2024, Emily Willis – real name Litzy Lara Banuelos – checked into Summit Malibu, a luxury rehabilitation facility in California, seeking to overcome an addiction to ketamine. Her family maintains she entered clean and was fully committed to turning her life around.
Eight days later, on February 4, a nurse practitioner discovered her unconscious in her room. Emergency services performed CPR, and paramedics conducted intense resuscitation efforts for up to 40 minutes before restoring a heartbeat.
The prolonged oxygen deprivation caused a severe, irreversible anoxic brain injury. Now 27, Willis cannot walk, move independently, or speak, requiring total round-the-clock care.
$3 million settlement
Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Susan Bryant-Deason recently approved a $3 million settlement on Banuelos' behalf, as she is no longer capable of managing her own affairs.
Her attorney, James A. Morris Jr., reduced his team's fee request from $1.2 million to $1 million to finalise the agreement. Morris wrote in a court declaration: 'Having lived and breathed this case for nearly two years, I can state with confidence that Ms. Banuelos is significantly injured, but that this case was no slam dunk,' noting that no one can definitively say what triggered the initial crisis given her fragile condition upon entering treatment.
