Christine McGuinness has admitted she is not 'rushing' into a new relationship following her separation from ITV star husband Paddy McGuinness two years ago. The 35-year-old revealed she 'isn't ready for anything serious' with a new partner, as she continues to navigate life after the split.
Despite their separation, Paddy, 50, and Christine remain living in their marital home in Cheshire to support their three children, all of whom have autism. The couple decided it was best to stay together under one roof to maintain stability for their twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and six-year-old Felicity.
Christine recently took part in the BBC Two series 'Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales', where she opened up about her emotional journey. 'The only life I've known is with Patrick and I'm not sure what my path is now I'm on my own. I need to figure it out,' she said. She added that she hasn't fully dealt with the separation yet, saying, 'I know that one day I'm going to have to do that.'
In an interview with The Sun, Christine confessed she cannot imagine marrying again. 'I don't see myself getting married again. I just don't. I've never had time to myself. I was with Patrick since I was 19 and now I'm single for the first time in a long time,' she said. 'I don't need to tell anyone where I'm going or what I'm doing. That is so freeing and something that I'm not sure I want to give away again.'
The couple, who keep their children out of the public eye, sleep in separate bedrooms but strive to maintain a normal family life. Christine admitted she is scared of the changes ahead but is focused on her children's well-being above all else.
