Christine McGuinness has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late grandmother, describing her as having gained her 'angel wings'. The 36-year-old model and former wife of comedian Paddy McGuinness took to Instagram to express her sorrow, posting a photo of her nan alongside a touching caption.
In the post, Christine wrote: 'My Nan got her angel wings.. I know wherever she is, she will be knitting and watching LFC. Finally at peace.' The tribute comes after a difficult period for the family, following the grandmother's recent passing.
Just over a week earlier, Christine updated her followers about the funeral on April 23, which featured a horse-drawn hearse. The black horses were decorated with red and white flags, and a banner reading: 'You'll Never Walk Alone. Love You Mum.' Christine described it as 'the perfect send-off for my Nan.' She also set the image to the iconic song 'You'll Never Walk Alone' by Gerry and the Pacemakers.
Christine has also opened up about seeking comfort through a psychic reading following her loss. The mother-of-three explained that she usually turns to psychics when feeling lost, but this time it was for a different reason. She said the reading was 'insane' and that the psychic repeated something her nan had said to her that no one else would know.
Reflecting on the experience, Christine shared: 'Honestly, it's just blown my mind. Craig has just repeated word for word something my nan said to me that no one else would know.' She praised the accuracy of the insights into her life and thoughts, adding that it was 'so, so good.'
