Chrissy Teigen Announces Sudden Death of Her Father in Emotional Tribute
Chrissy Teigen Reveals Father's Sudden Death in Heartbreaking Tribute

Chrissy Teigen has revealed that her father, Ron, has passed away suddenly, sharing the heartbreaking news in an emotional Instagram tribute. The 40-year-old model and television personality posted a video of her father discussing his life in the Pacific Northwest, accompanied by a poignant caption that detailed her shock and grief.

A Sudden Loss

In her post, Teigen wrote: "Yesterday I woke up with a daddy and went to bed without one. All the same things happened. Hurried shower. Picked up stuffing from the dog toys. Answered some emails. Avoided some. Laughed with my friends and put on a pretty dress for a friend’s birthday. Took a video. How cute is this dress! And then my dad just like…f***ing died."

She admitted that despite preparing for this moment for years, the reality was overwhelming: "I thought that since we talk about it and I’ve come to terms with him always having been an 'old dad' that I wouldn’t have fallen to the ground the way I did. I’ve thought about this phone call for years. I’ll be ready."

Cherished Memories

Teigen reflected on a letter she wrote to her father a few months ago, expressing gratitude for his hard work and love. She described him as someone who "hated nearly everything in the world that wasn’t a bass guitar, swing dancing, wood carving, animals, YouTube, or his family." She added, "I have hundreds and hundreds of videos of him just being mad at things he isn’t even doing, watching, or eating. They make me so happy now. God I love you so much. I will talk to you every night. Thank you for being such a great dad. Until we complain again."

Outpouring of Support

Her husband, musician John Legend, commented: "We love you so much Papa Ron. I’m so glad you got to spend so much time with your grandbabies. I loved seeing you beam with pride at the beautiful family you helped create." Fans also offered condolences, with one writing: "The worst club in the world. So grateful to that grump for giving us YOU. You’re funny like him and loving like him. He truly was 1/1. Love you friend." Another said: "I’m so sorry, Chrissy. Sending you so much love."

Recent Health Scare

This tragedy follows another challenging moment for the family. Just a few months ago, Teigen revealed that her six-year-old son, Miles, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Initially thought to have an intestinal infection, Miles was hospitalized and later diagnosed. Speaking at Hello Sunshine's Shine Away event, Teigen admitted: "When Miles was first diagnosed, we were really scared, we were really nervous. I probably played it really cool, just because I'm used to a lot of chaotic things happening all the time, but I had no idea how much I would have to learn, how quickly."
