Chris Brown Lashes Out at Zara Larsson in Rant Over Album Reviews
Chris Brown Rants at Zara Larsson Over Album Slate

Chris Brown launched an explicit social media rant, taking a swipe at Zara Larsson, after his new album received scathing reviews. The controversial singer released his 12th studio album, Brown, last week ahead of a joint tour with Usher. However, the album was panned by critics, with one review branding it a 'real piece of s**t' and 'soulless', while fans described it as 'lifeless horny bulls**t'.

Brown's Social Media Meltdown

In response, the 37-year-old posted a video on Instagram Story, vowing to 'keep on putting my foot on their necks'. 'Team Breezy, I know people want me to get on here and say some sad s**t, but f**k that,' he said. 'We kicking their ass, goddammit. We ain't letting up.' He continued, 'I'm going to keep my foot on they neck and we ain't stopping. You heard me? We doing this motherf**kin' tour, more s**t to come. I don't give a f**k what these n****s is talking about. I know exactly who my fans is and if you not my fan, I don't want you to listen to my s**t.'

Dig at Zara Larsson

Brown then took a direct shot at the Swedish singer, saying, 'Go listen to motherf**king Zara Larsson or somebody. F**k them.' This comes after Larsson called Brown an 'abuser' in a recent interview with Cosmo, referencing his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna and his 2023 arrest in the UK for alleged grievous bodily harm. Larsson stated, 'There's so many artists I have blocked on Spotify, and all of them are abusers. You certainly wouldn't find a Chris Brown song. Bye!'

Album Reviews and Tour Plans

Brown's latest outburst follows a particularly harsh review from Pitchfork, which gave the album a score of 1.3, describing it as 'soulless, hit-chasing music'. Despite the criticism, Brown plans to proceed with his tour with Usher, set to begin next month in the US.
