Charlie Jeer, the 23-year-old musician and model who has amassed millions of followers on TikTok, has revealed that performing for Prince William at Windsor Castle was a surreal experience. Jeer, known for his catchy songs and saxophone skills, recently teamed up with Bridgerton star Simone Ashley for their new single, So Good. The track debuted earlier this month at Windsor Castle in front of the Prince of Wales.
A Royal Audience
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Jeer described the moment: "Having the opportunity to perform in front of the royal family is a blessing. Getting to do it alongside Simone Ashley, inside Windsor Castle, was arguably one of the most surreal performance experiences anyone can have." He added that he did not notice Prince William during the performance until he walked off stage and saw the prince standing just metres away. "It was an absolute honour to have my music be able to take me to such surreal experiences, and I'm just so grateful that I got to do it," Jeer said.
Rising Stardom
Kent-born Jeer has achieved remarkable success, with over 150 million streams to date and sold-out shows across the UK, Europe, and Australia. His viral hit My Madonna helped propel him to fame, and his latest single So Good features a sultry, nostalgic production with catchy beats and his signature saxophone sound. Jeer explained the inspiration behind the track: "I wanted to make a song that spreads positivity and joy into the world – So Good was written just for that purpose."
Collaboration with Simone Ashley
Jeer described working with Simone Ashley, known for her roles in Bridgerton and her own music career, as "a privilege." He said: "She added so much life and energy into the song and I'm grateful to work with such incredible people. We wanted to create a sonic palette that nods to a time when the world felt much simpler – echoing disco nostalgia." Ashley echoed the sentiment, stating: "When I was first introduced to Charlie and his work, I wasn't just drawn to his undeniable talent, but his sense of dreaming big. This track oozes summer and a funk that I couldn't get out of my head."
Upcoming Tour and Future Plans
Later this year, Jeer will embark on his first-ever headline EU and UK tour, starting on Monday, October 12, in Stockholm and concluding on October 28 in Amsterdam. The tour includes stops in Oslo, Berlin, London, Paris, and Copenhagen. In addition to his Windsor Castle performance, Jeer has recently performed at UMG's Showcase in China, the High Chai British Embassy to India event, and headlined his own show in Istanbul, as well as performing at the Formula 1 event at Silverstone.
