Fiona Harper Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of actor Chad Lowe and niece of Rob Lowe, has died, her family has announced.
Family statement
Chad and his wife, Kim Painter, announced Fiona's passing on Wednesday morning UK time. In a statement to People Magazine, they said: “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona.”
They added: “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
Mental health plea
The family have not confirmed Fiona's cause of death. Their statement urged people to seek mental health support if needed, saying: “Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
Chad, 58, won an Emmy for his role in the 1989 TV series Life Goes On. Kim, 52, is a Hollywood casting director. The couple have two surviving daughters.
