Celine Dion Spotted Shopping in Paris Shoe Store

Fans were amazed to see a clip of Celine Dion casually trying on shoes at a Paris store, posted by French photographer Amar Taoualit on Tuesday (October 6). The brief video shows a smiling Dion sat on a stool engaging with a member of staff before posing for a photo. The pair can also be seen chatting and looking towards a tower of footwear before a second employee appears to take her order.

Fan Reactions to the Video

The clip was captioned: "Celine Dion looking amazing and shooting at Repetto Paris store in Paris." Writing in response, one Instagram user joked: "She is saying from size 5-10, give them to me. I’ll make them fit. I’ll walk the shoes." A second person shared: "Have so much love for this woman! I never understand how people on social media can be so nasty about her sometimes."

A third gushed: "This little lady who just came to work like every other day, who surely remained very professional and ended her day with a unique photo. Quite a memory at work." A fourth declared: "She is so simply stunning. Simple and beautiful." While a fifth fan said: "She keeps it natural with everyone she’s awesome."

Residency Details

The 58-year-old singer is currently in the midst of a residency at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, performing 26 shows over the course of the next eight months following a six-year hiatus from the stage. The residency is split into two separate legs, with the 2026 autumn leg running from September 12 to October 17, 2026 and the 2027 spring leg returning for 10 final shows from May 8 to May 29, 2027.

When the first leg of the residency was announced an astonishing nine million fans registered for early-access tickets. The initial dates sold out at lightning speed, prompting management to add 10 additional shows for May 2027, which also shifted instantly.

Health and Recovery

Dion has been absent from the stage as she battles a rare illness known as stiff-person syndrome (SPS) - a chronic autoimmune neurological disorder that causes severe muscle stiffness and painful spasms. "I made a promise... I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage," she told the crowd on the first night of her residency last month. "And here I am, singing for you and singing for me... singing live!"

The Canadian singer went on: "If it's your first time in Paris, I hope you fall in love with it. I know I did. Thank you so very much for your support, for your patience, and if I may say so... I am everything I am because you loved me." While SPS remains an incurable and progressive neurological condition, Dion actively controls her symptoms through an intense, five-day-a-week therapy programme. This includes 90-minute Pilates sessions, vocal therapy, and ballet classes to maintain her mobility and vocal strength.
