Celebrity Traitors Bosses Make Big Changes for A-List Cast
Celebrity Traitors: Big Changes for A-List Cast

Celebrity Traitors bosses are reportedly implementing significant changes for the upcoming series, accommodating an A-list cast that includes Jerry Hall, Miranda Hart, Michael Sheen, and Richard E Grant. The BBC show, which previously won over audiences with its celebrity edition, is set to feature a star-studded lineup for its second season.

New Cast Members

The confirmed cast includes BBC presenter Amol Rajan, The Last of Us actress Bella Ramsey, comedian James Acaster, and singer James Blunt. Comedy stars Joanne McNally and Joe Lycett, former Coronation Street legend Julie Hesmondhalgh, and social media content creator King Kenny are also on board. Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Love Island presenter Maya Jama, Industry actress Myha’la, and BBC maths guru Professor Hannah Fry complete the list. Rob Beckett will bring laughs alongside his TV sidekick Romesh Ranganathan, joined by EastEnders star Ross Kemp, My Mad Fat Diary star Sharon Rooney, and Game of Thrones actor Sebastian Croft.

Behind-the-Scenes Changes

According to reports, the production team has made several adjustments compared to the first series, which was won by Traitor Alan Carr. Previously, stars were transported in minibuses, but now they will be driven in chauffeured cars. Most cast members arrived by train last year, but this year, many were seen arriving by planes and private jets.

“Although most of the stars are British, so many of them are used to working in America that their teams are used to the treatment. The production team have little choice, however, than to cater for their demands because they accept the number of A-listers taking part in this year's show makes it exceptional,” a source told The Sun.

Filming begins this weekend, with the 21 players divided into Traitors and Faithfuls after lengthy interviews with presenter Claudia Winkleman and production staff.

Fan Speculation

Fans have been speculating about a possible surprise twist after spotting a clue in the announcement video. One Reddit user noted, “Only 21 cast members, a secret 22nd or a late drop-out?” Another suggested, “I could see them bringing an early out from season 1 back as a surprise cast member like Paloma or Tom.” A third added, “Danny Dyer was extremely heavily rumoured for this so it'd be funny if in Episode 2 he just gets thrown in like a grenade.”
