Ant Middleton Axed by Channel 4 Over 'Personal Conduct'

Channel 4 has announced it will no longer work with Ant Middleton, the star of SAS: Who Dares Wins, citing his 'personal conduct'. The decision follows controversies over his comments on Black Lives Matter protests and the coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement, the broadcaster said: 'It has become clear that our views and values are not aligned.' Middleton, 40, responded on social media, saying he had 'decided it's time to move on' and expressed excitement about future projects.

The former soldier faced backlash in June after calling Black Lives Matter protesters 'absolute scum' in a now-deleted tweet. He later apologised, stating he was 'anti-racist and anti-violence'. In March 2020, he urged followers to 'carry on as normal' during the pandemic, dismissing government advice, before admitting he had been 'a bit insensitive'.

SAS: Who Dares Wins puts civilians through gruelling military exercises. Middleton also presented the celebrity spin-off, featuring stars like Yasmin Evans and Joey Essex. Channel 4 and production company Minnow Films confirmed he will not appear in future series.
