Joe Wicks Defends Himself After Bottle-Feeding Shame Claims

Joe Wicks, known as The Body Coach, has hit back at accusations that he shamed mothers who bottle-feed their babies. The 33-year-old fitness guru responded after a fan claimed his new book, Wean in 15, made her feel guilty for bottle-feeding her children.

The fan referenced a chapter where Wicks discussed his own upbringing, saying he didn't have 'the best start in life when it came to nutrition' because he was raised on formula milk. However, Wicks took to Instagram Stories to clarify his stance, urging the fan not to feel judged.

'Please don't feel that way. That's the opposite of how I want you to feel,' he wrote. 'I was really honest about our journey in the introduction. I was fed only formula as a baby. Indie was fed breast for a while, then formula. Marley is bottle fed with only formula now.'

Wicks also opened up about his son Marley's feeding journey, explaining that they started with breast milk but switched to formula after Marley developed oral thrush at three months, causing his wife Rosie significant pain. 'There is nothing wrong with formula so please don't feel judged or guilty. Your baby is your baby and your journey with feeding is your own!' he added.
