CBB Star Courtney Stodden Hospitalised After Freak Phone Accident

Courtney Stodden, the model and television personality best known for appearing on Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating, has been left covered in blood after suffering a freak accident involving her mobile phone. The 31-year-old star took to Instagram to share graphic images of her injury and to warn her followers about the dangers of rushing in everyday situations.

How the Accident Happened

In a candid Instagram post, Stodden explained that she dropped her phone in a public place and bent down quickly to retrieve it, striking her head on the edge of a counter. The impact was severe enough to split her scalp open, causing blood to pour everywhere. She wrote: "This is your reminder when you drop something, don't bend down and quickly, don't bend and snap. I bent and snapped and tried to pick up my phone. I dropped it and busted my head open in public."

Stodden added that emergency services arrived but declined to treat her, leading her to go to the emergency room where the wound was glued shut. She captioned the post: "Don't bend and snap… slow down. Dropped my phone, reached too fast, and hit the edge of a counter so hard my head split open blood everywhere… ended up in the er getting it glued shut. Nothing glamorous about moving too fast just to grab something that doesn't matter."

Previous Cryptic Post

Just two days before the accident, Stodden had shared a cryptic message on Instagram: "The amount of trauma I have from people I thought loved me is crazy." Fans quickly offered support, with one writing: "You're so strong, Courtney, you deserve nothing but love." Stodden replied: "Thank you, I'm still learning what that even looks like."

Courtney Stodden's Background

Stodden first gained fame at the age of 16 when she married actor Doug Hutchison, who was 51 at the time. The couple divorced in 2018. Stodden, who now identifies as non-binary, has since built a successful television career, appearing on reality shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating.

Speaking to Fox News, Stodden reflected on her early experiences: "I am a really empathetic, sensitive person, and I always have been. But my experience has made me so strong. If it didn't happen, I feel like my whole outlook on life would be so different." She added: "Experiences that are traumatising can either break us or we can utilise them to shape us into a stronger individual. And that's really one of the main reasons why I'm speaking out is because I want past victims and survivors to really tap into that part of themselves. We are so strong. It's just really made me very fearless."

Personal Life

Stodden was previously engaged to filmmaker Chris Sheng, but the couple ended their relationship in 2023. A representative told Page Six: "Courtney is now a single woman. She is looking forward to telling her story." The couple had been engaged since 2021, and both deleted their engagement posts from Instagram. Stodden's post had read: "I said yes ... OH and the ring made me gag it's so beautiful." Sheng had written: "We have both grown so much since we first met, and the fact that we have both been able to grow into better, stronger, more secure individuals while still being in a relationship together makes me have faith that this partnership will last a lifetime. For the first time we're both experiencing unconditional love."

Stodden continues to engage with her fans on social media, sharing both the highs and lows of her life. Her recent accident serves as a stark reminder to slow down and be careful, even in the most mundane moments.
