Cat Deeley's New Year Beach Break: White Bikini Swim Amid Divorce
Cat Deeley enjoys New Year beach break in white bikini

Television presenter Cat Deeley has shared a glimpse of her New Year's getaway, posting a relaxed video of herself enjoying a swim in the ocean while wearing a white bikini.

A Refreshing Start to the Year

The This Morning host, 49, looked to be making the most of a beach holiday with friends as she took a dip in the sea. In the clip shared to Instagram on Sunday, she kept a low profile with a pair of large, black-tinted sunglasses during her wild swim.

Before her refreshing ocean plunge, Cat was seen soaking up the sun on the beach with her pals, enjoying a drink. The break appeared to be a brief respite before her return to work, as she later revealed she was busy studying her This Morning script on her flight home, ready to be back on screens on Monday.

Reflecting on a Year of Change

To welcome the new year, Cat also posted a highlights reel from her 2025, admitting the year had been 'a lot of fun'. This reflection comes in the wake of her separation from her husband of 13 years, comedian Patrick Kielty, 54.

The couple announced their plans to divorce in a joint statement in July, confirming they had decided to end their marriage but would remain united as parents to their two children. They stressed that 'no other party' was involved in the breakup, which is believed to have been privately finalised earlier in the year.

The Turning Point in the Marriage

Speculation about the split first arose when Cat was notably absent from Patrick's mother's funeral in Ireland in March 2025. According to sources close to the Kielty family, this 'no show' left deep emotional scars and was the moment they realised the marriage was over for good.

A relative expressed upset to the Daily Mail, stating that given the closeness of Patrick to his mother Mary, it was expected Cat would be by his side. 'The fact that she stayed in London and presented This Morning on the day, it's not been forgotten,' the source added.

In response, a spokesperson for Cat explained at the time that she remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on that sad day.

Cat and Patrick first met in 2002 while co-hosting BBC's Fame Academy, but only became a romantic item a decade later. After marrying in Rome in 2012, they lived in California for ten years before moving back to the UK so Cat could be closer to her family.
