Carol Wright has defended her son Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan after fans noted the couple spent their seventh wedding anniversary apart. The 62-year-old mother of Mark insisted their love is 'unreal' despite the distance.
Mark, 35, and Michelle, 34, married on 24 May 2015 in Bury St Edmunds. This year, Michelle was in Australia filming a BBC project while Mark travelled around Europe. Carol commented on Instagram, praising their unconditional love, but later deleted the message.
A source told OK! magazine that the couple talk daily via phone and Zoom, and Mark gave Michelle an anniversary gift before she left. The source noted it was a shame they haven't been able to enjoy their dream home together.
Both Mark and Michelle shared wedding photos on Instagram with gushing tributes. Michelle's new drama, Ten Pound Poms, will require her to spend months in Australia filming, following a group of British people emigrating in 1956.
