The 33-year-old model and actress opened up in an accompanying interview about her relationship with girlfriend Minke, her sobriety, and her upcoming debut album.
Relationship with Minke
Delevingne revealed that her relationship with Minke is the first time she has "felt so seen." She described Minke as a "normie" who drinks occasionally, contrasting with her own sobriety. "I can't date someone like myself, ever - I come with a lot of stuff. She's the most incredible person I know. We're best friends, obviously, lovers, and everything else, but I've never had a relationship like it and felt so close to someone and felt so seen," Delevingne told Playboy.
Sobriety and Sex Life
The star shared how her sobriety has transformed her sex life, making it deeper and more emotional. "Sex sober after all of that is definitely difficult. It changes, but it's so much deeper and so much more emotional," she said. Delevingne reflected on her past views on sex, stating, "I used to put a higher value on sex and validation from people. I used to think: 'Oh, I'm a pervert. I'm a really horny person.' But I think [I was] seeking love and validation through sex. Sex is a language, too, and your own sexuality, what turns you on, is like a beautiful dance you play with yourself."
Struggles with Addiction
Delevingne has been open about her struggles with addiction, first experimenting with drugs at age 14. She turned to ketamine and later took acid daily as a means of escaping. She credited music with saving her life and playing a key role in her sobriety. "It saved my life. It's no small thing. It's not like talking about my eyebrows. It's not for everyone, but I don't know one person who has had a period of sobriety, whether it's because a parent died or they needed to really process something, that [sobriety] hasn't helped," she told Playboy.
Debut Album
Delevingne's interview and photoshoot are part of the promotion for her debut album. She has not yet revealed the album's title or release date, but the project marks a new chapter in her career, alongside her acting roles in shows like Only Murders in the Building.
