Brookside Star Philip Olivier Marries on a Boat with Co-Stars

Brookside actor Philip Olivier, best known for playing Timothy "Tinhead" O'Leary, married his long-term partner Amy Virtue on July 4 at the Daffodil Liverpool venue, a refurbished vessel serving as an event space. The ceremony was attended by family, friends, and former co-stars, including Jennifer Ellison, who played Emily Shadwick on the Channel 4 soap.

Wedding Details and Celebrity Guests

Philip wore an all-white suit with sunglasses, while Amy chose a strappy lace gown with a matching lace choker. The couple, who have been together for many years, share five children: sons Oscar, Sunny Ray, and Phoenix, and daughters Renée and Selina Sky.

Jennifer Ellison, 43, shared insights on social media, posting photos of the menu and a clip of the newlyweds. She captioned her post: "What a day!!!! Philip Olivier's Career After Brookside

Philip was cast in Brookside at age 15 and played Tinhead from 1996 until the show's cancellation in 2003. After leaving the soap, he voiced audio plays based on Doctor Who, appeared in the comedy sketch show Bo Selecta, and won the reality TV show The Games in 2005. He later released calendars and took part in a celebrity edition of Come Dine With Me in 2009. He also appeared on Saturday Night Takeaway, performed in musicals and pantomimes, and featured in the BBC One drama Missing. Many will recall him as Jason Gallagher from ITV's Benidorm in 2014 and 2015. He had a role in the 2019 short film Just Me too and co-owns Liverpool B&B Yellow Submarine, appearing on Channel 4's Four in a Bed.

Philip now balances occasional media appearances with his role as CEO of Liverpool City Sights, a business operating open-top bus tours around Liverpool.
