Brooklyn Beckham's emotional speech at his wedding vow renewal with Nicola Peltz has reportedly caused further heartache for his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. The couple renewed their vows in the US earlier this month without inviting any members of the Beckham family, according to sources.
Social media activity suggests a growing rift, as Victoria and David have not liked or tagged Brooklyn and Nicola in recent posts. During a family holiday, Victoria only tagged Romeo, Cruz, Harper and David, while David shared snaps with Romeo. Previously, the couple would tag Brooklyn even when he was not in pictures.
Brooklyn's speech at the ceremony was described as 'moving' by insiders, with a source saying he spoke from the heart about Nicola and the Peltz family, who have supported him. Notably, there was no similar tribute to his own parents, which is believed to have been a 'dagger' to the Beckhams.
The Beckhams have missed several key family moments, including Brooklyn's failure to acknowledge his mother's 51st birthday in April, David's 50th birthday in May, and Father's Day in June. He also ignored his parents' 26th wedding anniversary and David's recent knighthood on social media.
Relations have been strained since before Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding three years ago, with rumours of disagreements over the wedding dress design and Nicola feeling 'upstaged' by Victoria. Despite David liking one of Brooklyn's cooking posts as a possible olive branch, the family remains distant.
