Brooklyn Beckham is said to have faced a "huge test" from his billionaire in-laws after cutting ties with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham. The 26-year-old son of the former England footballer and Spice Girl recently launched a scathing attack on his family via social media, claiming his mother had "hijacked" his first dance at his wedding to Nicola Peltz.
Now, sources claim that Nicola's family have been left "impressed" by Brooklyn's actions. An insider told The Sun: "Nicola and her family are incredibly impressed with Brooklyn’s courage in standing up for her. This was a huge test – and he passed." Another source added that they were "surprised" it had taken so long for the couple to assert themselves.
Nicola's father, Nelson Peltz, 83, has built a £1.7 billion empire through investments in major companies such as Wendy's, Snapple, Disney, Oreo and Cadbury's. The heiress reportedly receives an allowance of $1 million a month. Brooklyn's explosive Instagram post, published in late 2024, went viral and has divided fans of the Beckham family.
In his statement, Brooklyn claimed: "My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife... She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life." The couple married in 2022 and have reportedly sought to renew their vows to create happier memories.
