He captioned the post: “Spaghetti carbonara xx.” The response was swift, with one commenter writing: “As an Italian.. no. That cheek is burnt.” Another said: “It seems a bit overcooked this guanciale...” while a third added: “you already know you burnt the bacon.”
Beckham defended himself in a follow-up comment, stating: “guanciale has a lot of sugar in that’s why it’s darker I slow cooked it so it’s not burned.” The backlash comes amid reports of a family rift, with Beckham having missed his father David’s 50th birthday parties in May and neither Victoria nor David publicly acknowledging the couple’s third wedding anniversary in April.
Despite the criticism, Beckham recently renewed his wedding vows with Nicola Peltz, three years after their original ceremony.
