Brooklyn Beckham sends birthday message to grandfather amid family rift

Brooklyn Beckham has publicly reached out to his grandfather, Anthony Adams, with a heartfelt birthday tribute, despite an ongoing feud with his parents. The 26-year-old chef and influencer shared a photograph on Instagram of himself smiling alongside his grandfather, captioning it: 'Happy 80th birthday papa x I love you so much.'

The gesture comes after Brooklyn missed his grandfather's 80th birthday celebrations to enjoy a date night with his wife, Nicola Peltz. Earlier this year, Brooklyn cut ties with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in an explosive Instagram statement in which he accused them of trying to 'control' him. However, his grandparents were not mentioned in that statement, and sources have indicated that he holds no ill will towards them.

A friend of Brooklyn told MailOnline: 'While things between him and his parents are over, Brooklyn is still very fond of his grandparents. There is a lot of love for them, and that has never faltered.' The source added that Brooklyn was 'raised by his grandparents, Jackie [Adams] and Sandra [Beckham]' when his parents were working, and that he 'adores them'.

This is the first time Brooklyn has publicly acknowledged his family since last June, when he posted a birthday message to his grandmother. Meanwhile, the rest of the Beckham family attended Anthony's party in person. Victoria shared photographs from the celebration, including one of herself in a silky blue gown hugging her father, with husband David and their other children Romeo, Cruz and Harper also present.
