Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have been left 'heartbroken' after the unexpected death of their Chihuahua, Nala. The couple shared emotional tributes on Instagram following the loss, which occurred after a routine grooming appointment.
Brooklyn, the 25-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham, posted a photo of himself holding the tiny dog and wrote: 'Dear Nala, we miss you so much. You were unexpectedly taken from us way too soon and hope others don't experience a loss after something as simple as a grooming.' He described her as 'the cutest little baby girl' and said they would always think of her.
Actress Nicola, 29, also shared an intimate image and detailed her grief: 'I can't even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels. Nala was perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers yesterday but came out hyperventilating and couldn't catch her breath.' She said they rushed her to the vet, but she passed hours later.
Nicola issued a stark warning to pet owners, saying: 'I'm sharing this in hopes that it might prevent this from happening to other dogs. Her life was taken away from her way too soon.' She recalled that Nala had been by her side for nine years and expressed a wish to have her back in her arms.
The post attracted many condolences from fans, with one commenting: 'So incredibly sorry for your loss.' Another wrote: 'I'm so sorry, that's a pain in the heart for sure. Sounds like you loved your Sweet Nala very well.'
